Welcome to Norstar Studio. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of our website and the provision of our services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our services.

1. Definitions

  1. Norstar Studio: Refers to the one person company (OPC) owned and operated by Dhruv, providing audio post-production services.
  2. Client: Refers to any individual, business, or entity that engages Norstar Studio for services.
  3. Services: Refers to all audio post-production services provided by Norstar Studio, including but not limited to audio editing, mixing, mastering, cleaning, and related services.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging Norstar Studio for any service, you (the Client) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These Terms apply to all agreements, whether verbal or written, between Norstar Studio and the Client.

3. Services Overview

Norstar Studio specializes in professional audio post-production services, which include:

  • Audio editing and cleaning
  • Mixing and mastering
  • Audio enhancement for podcasts, YouTube videos, and other digital media
  • Custom audio post-production work

All services will be rendered according to the specifications outlined and agreed upon by both Norstar Studio and the Client at the time of booking.

4. Ordering Process

  1. Quotations: All services will be provided based on a quotation, which will include a description of the services, costs, and delivery timelines. Quotations are valid for [insert period, e.g., 30 days].
  2. Order Confirmation: Once the quotation is accepted, the Client must confirm the order by making the necessary payment. No work will commence until full payment is received unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  3. Custom Orders: Custom services outside of pre-defined packages will be subject to individual agreements between Norstar Studio and the Client.

5. Payments

  1. Pricing: All services are priced as per the package selected (Gold, Platinum, Diamond) or through custom agreements. Prices are subject to change at any time but will not affect orders already confirmed.
  2. Payment Terms: Payments are to be made in full upfront for all package services. Custom orders may require a deposit, with the balance due upon completion, as agreed.
  3. Payment Methods: Norstar Studio accepts payments through PayPal, Wise, Debit & Credit cards.
  4. Late Payments: In the event of late payments, Norstar Studio reserves the right to withhold deliverables until payment is made. Additional fees may be applied for overdue payments.

6. Refunds and Cancellations

  1. Refund Policy: Due to the nature of the services provided, all sales are final. Refunds will only be considered under exceptional circumstances, such as a failure to deliver the agreed-upon service, subject to Norstar Studio’s discretion.
  2. Cancellations: The Client may cancel their order for a full refund, provided that work has not yet commenced. If the Client cancels after work has started, a refund will be provided minus the amount corresponding to the work completed up to the point of cancellation.

7. Revisions and Modifications

  1. Revision Policy: Norstar Studio offers revisions on for each project at no additional cost. Revisions must be requested within 7 days of final delivery. Additional revisions beyond this may incur extra charges.
  2. Scope of Revisions: Revisions are intended to make adjustments to the existing work based on the Client’s feedback. Significant changes or new requests outside the original project scope may be subject to additional fees.

8. Turnaround Time and Delivery

  1. Estimated Timeframes: Norstar Studio will provide estimated delivery times for all services during the booking process. While we strive to meet these deadlines, unforeseen circumstances may cause delays.
  2. Delivery Method: Completed work will be delivered electronically via email or a file-sharing service. The format of the final deliverables will be agreed upon at the time of booking.
  3. Delays: If delays occur on the Client’s end (e.g., failure to provide necessary materials), Norstar Studio is not responsible for missed deadlines.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

  1. Client Materials: The Client retains all rights to the audio files and materials provided to Norstar Studio for processing. By submitting materials, the Client warrants that they have the necessary rights and permissions for Norstar Studio to work on the project.
  2. Norstar Studio Work: Upon full payment, Norstar Studio retains ownership of the original project files and reserves the right to use the completed work in portfolios, marketing materials, and on social media. Norstar Studio will notify the Client of such use for marketing purposes. Clients may also be denied the use of completed work for any marketing purposes.

10. Confidentiality

Norstar Studio will treat all Client files, materials, and information with strict confidentiality. We will not share your files or details with third parties without your explicit consent, except as necessary to complete the services.

11. Limitation of Liability

  1. General Limitation: Norstar Studio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of our services. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of data.
  2. Total Liability: Norstar Studio’s total liability for any claim related to your project will not exceed the amount paid for the specific service. The Client acknowledges and agrees that any claim must be filed within 7 days of the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnification

The Client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Norstar Studio, its founder, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses, including legal fees, arising from the Client’s use of our services or breach of these Terms.

13. Termination

  1. Termination by Norstar Studio: Norstar Studio reserves the right to terminate any project or service agreement if the Client breaches these Terms or engages in conduct deemed inappropriate or harmful. Upon termination, any remaining payments will be due, and no refunds will be provided.
  2. Termination by the Client: The Client may terminate the service agreement at any time by providing written notice to Norstar Studio. In such cases, the Client will be responsible for payment for any work completed up to the point of termination.

14. Force Majeure

Norstar Studio is not liable for any failure or delay in performing services due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, natural disasters, and strikes.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  1. Governing Law: These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of India.
  2. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes between Norstar Studio and the Client will be resolved through negotiation in good faith. If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it will be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of law.

16. Changes to Terms

Norstar Studio reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes, and continued use of our services will constitute acceptance of the revised Terms. It is the Client’s responsibility to review these Terms periodically for updates.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
